Seeing is believing

In a group, we went to the chosen place-south bank area to explore what the place is like

Online Research
basic knowledge

After 1st travel, I researched on net about why south bank is so popular and get to know that it is the festival of Britain that nourished the south bank area and because of war. A little curious about what is festival and why chose south bank. Ironically it is really the war that give rise to the south bank. Its aim is to show the world UK's design, raise spirits and encourage people after the horrible post-war period.

Historical&Detailed Research
know embodied ethnics and cultural

After observation, I researched on Internet and inside the museum displays of what the historical things about the museum and the park outside as well. During those days, I saw some poppy flowers thus I also researched about what are the flowers used for/represent.

Q: Who are the victims
Q: What ethnic background do they belong to
Q: Is their some customs when they bury the dead.

Mapping
organize ideas together

Using C-Map, I mapped all the points that interested me.

Ideogram
put all ideas on one paper and try to link some good points together

Then I made an ideogram on my thinking of the places

Mockup
gain a better look into the design and generate a better idea.

I made a small mockup looking like miniature graveyards in distance using boards while taking a closer look it’s about the facts of wars. I also researched on how are the traditions of burying the dead. However, since I found out words are not as striking as images, I shifted the idea to images later.

Design Practice
practice to see if the proposal needs to be updated

I then placed the design inside the park to see people's responses.
Images are scatted in ground like waste waiting to be picked up as a remind of what we have lost in wars.

Revaluation
perfect the design and think in a whole

After submitted the design, I asked why people put the images inside flowers and found poppy flowers' meaning-remember of dead soldiers.

Then I began to revalue the proposal. What about changing the theme to Lost& Found. People find elegant lost post cards with images and clues(maybe using poppy flowers elements) to return to on back. Then they can return to the identified the places and then know more about the beneath truth and gain a better understanding why there is a war museum.

Redo
Some day after another visit to imperial war museum, I got a idea on redoing the taz project adapting the before idea. Lost and find as a key element, I am using postcard clue for people to explore what's hidden in history and what's lose in war (There might be some elements in history people might ignore since there are large amounts of information inside the museum) . I took some amazing photos inside the museum to get people's attraction. One could get the postcard inside the museum and go on a clue travel. Also it's made as a postcard so that one can post it to friends after you find the truth. Or post it to a friend for help find the discovery path.
